I see this view from my balcony: a father is combing his daughter's hair while she eats noodles. He has been doing it for 15 minutes. When I was her age, I didn't live with my father because my parents divorced. But the Creator has been kind to me, allowing me to witness this scene and relive my childhood through someone else's life. However, when they see their shadow reflected in this water bag, which appears larger than themselves, they get scared and fly away.'I thought to myself, 'I don't want to be a fly that's afraid of its own shadow and misses out on the sweetness.'P.S.: Boiled sweet potatoes and wax bananas are popular snacks in Vietnam. My dad loves surprises. When we traveled to visit our relatives for the first time, instead of just calling them, he wanted to surprise them. He asked locals about Mr. Cake in village Pan, even though village Pan was big and not many knew Mr. Cake. We drove around for over an hour, asking ten different people, some more than once.Some suggested that Dad should just call, but he kept smiling and said, "This is the fun part, guys. Life is full of surprises. There's always light at the end of the tunnel."As it got dark and we still didn't have the address, we had to call our relatives, who kindly came to pick us up.The real surprise? Every local we met tried to help us. Even though we were tired and hungry, including our 5-year-old, the whole family supported Dad until the end.
