While many of the PGA's top golfers are across the pond, Keene Trace Golf Club in Kentucky will host the 2024 ISCO Championship beginning on Thursday as a co-sanctioned event with the DP World Tour. Vincent Norrman recorded his first PGA Tour victory in this event last year, which was formerly known as the Barbasol Championship. Amateur Luke Clanton headlines the 2024 ISCO Championship field after he became the first amateur to post back-to-back top-10s on the PGA Tour since 1958. Clanton finished T10 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic before carding a runner-up finish at TPC Deere Run.
The rising Florida State junior also made the cut at the U.S. Open last month, and he is the 14-1 favorite in the 2024 ISCO Championship odds. Some of the other ISCO Championship contenders include Michael Thorbjornsen (18-1), Daniel Berger (40-1) and Neal Shipley (40-1). Top 2024 ISCO Championship predictions
One major surprise the model is calling for at the ISCO Championship 2024: Thorbjornsen (18-1), who is one of two golfers listed inside of 40-1 to win the tournament, stumbles this week and fails to record a top-two finish. Thorbjornsen finished atop the 2024 PGA Tour University standings, and he is coming off a T2 finish at the John Deere Classic. He turned professional in June after earning his PGA Tour card for the remainder of 2024 and all of the 2025 season.
The 22-year-old has only played in 11 PGA Tour events during his career, posting just two top-10 finishes. He finished outside the top 35 in his first two tournaments this season, so it is going to be difficult for him to build on his career-best finish at the John Deere Classic. Another surprise: Carson Young, a 45-1 longshot, makes a strong run at the title. The 29-year-old has been a mainstay on the PGA Tour this season, playing in 18 tournaments. He cracked the top 10 at the Mexico Open in February and is coming off two of his three best performances of the season in the past month.
Young finished T14 at the RBC Canadian Open before finishing T5 at the John Deere Classic last weekend, shooting 23-under. He ranks inside the top 30 on the PGA Tour in driving accuracy, proximity and scoring average.
